In 1992, a small group of caring ladies with a concern and passion for the welfare of the children of Lawrenceburg and Lawrence County formed the Lawrence County Chapter of Junior Auxiliary. The Chapter received its charter from the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries, Inc. in 1993. For 15 years the ladies of Junior Auxiliary of Lawrence County have served their area through various service projects. These projects are funded through two major fundraisers and contributions by individuals and local businesses. Junior Auxiliary of Lawrence County provides the membership with many opportunities to serve and to be a vital part of our community. Members are focused on assuming leadership roles that meet community needs. Community needs are identified through a community survey conducted every other year. Through time, community members have asked Junior Auxiliary of Lawrence County to meet certain needs and the members have responded by delivering Meals on Wheels, participating in vision and hearing screenings at local schools, and volunteering at A Kid’s Place. The symbol of the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries, Inc. is the crown shown above. Its five points symbolize the ideals of charity, youth, health, leadership and service. Please take a moment to browse our site and see how Junior Auxiliary of Lawrence County strives to represent those ideals in everything that we do. |
